What a complete but wonderful surprise when we discovered the other day that we have our own snippet of editorial coverage in The Sunday Telegraph’s `Travel on Sunday’ supplement! We were mentioned in the North East section under Brilliant Beaches (without the crowds), and was brought to our attention by a guest making a reservation with us who said this is where they had seen us! We think a freelance travel writer/journalist must have recently stayed with us `incognito’!  This is wonderful coverage for us and we are delighted, thank you to The Sunday Telegraph and the Writer/Editor concerned.

Also mentioned in the article is Ross Back Sands which is one of our favourite Northumberland beaches.  It is perfect for those who are looking to get away from the crowds and can guarantee that you will see very few people on this beautiful, tranquil longs stretch of Northumberland Coastline with stunning views over to Lindisfarne Castle and Bamburgh to the south.  There is a nature reserve there and you can spot our gorgeous Grey Seals basking in the sun as well as some unusual and rare birds (or dolphins if you are lucky!)  Why not spend an afternoon at Ross where you can chill out or even take a dip in the sea – we also have a beach tent which guests are welcome to borrow.  You can view Ross Back Sands on our lovely drone video on our Local Area page and a photo taken recently of our characteristic Grey Seals enjoying the sunshine! We are now fully booked for August, three dates left for September and October filling up quickly.  For reservations, please go to our Book Now page or just pick up the phone and give us a call.  We look forward to hearing from you!
