IIn conjunction with exclusive accommodation website, Wolsey Lodges, we decided to put together a list of some of our favourite places to visit if you are planning a visit to Northumberland when the lockdown is over. There are an abundance of beautiful, tranquil beach and countryside walks, castles galore and don’t forget your binoculars, for all wildlife enthusiasts, you may spot some rare seabirds or red squirrels!  Red squirrels have made a come-back in North Northumberland and have been spotted in many places in our immediate area in recent months.  We have many unusual and rarely-seen birds and the rare Roseate Tern resides on Coquet Island in the summer.  Boat trips to see the Terns operate from Amble, a short drive from us.

Our North Northumberland recommendations for places to visit in our beautiful area have been kindly put together in a Travel Insight blog by Wolsey Lodges of which we are very proud to be members.  Also you will find our stunning new drone video to whet your appetite which can be found under Local Area on our website.

“The Wolsey Lodge properties and their owners are quintessential of a travel experience on our shores… All of our lodges are unique and have their own style, but there is one resounding theme across all Wolsey Lodges and that is generous hospitality..”  Ref: Wolsey Lodges, 2020
