Adult only; Post Office House is the perfect place for unwinding, relaxation and romantic stays, therefore we do not accept under 18’s.



STAY REQUIREMENT: Minimum three-nights (1st April – 31st October); Minimum two-nights (1st November – 31st March). Two-night stays in High Season may be available if there is a gap left between bookings. Please contact Post Office House directly if  your chosen dates do not show up on our online booking system.  A maximum of seven consecutive nights booked only.  We are sorry but one-night stays are not available.

DIRECT BOOKING: It is always better for you (and us too!) by booking directly Reservations made through third-party online travel agencies such as booking dot com could cost more as we have to offset large commissions charged to us.

THIRD PARTY RESERVATIONS: If booking through booking dot com, their terms of business and cancellation policies apply. Please refer to the reservation policy shown on your reservation confirmation as direct booking terms do not apply to bookings made via an online travel agency.

RESERVATIONS: Please go to our Availability/Book-Now section which will then take you to Q-Book, our secure online booking engine. If you would rather book the old-fashioned way, please telephone us on 01668 219622. We accept Mastercard, Visa Credit and Debit cards. In order to minimise handling due to Covid-19, we regret that cash payments will not be accepted for the foreseeable future.

GROUP BOOKINGS:  We accept a maximum group booking of up to four people; a family* of three/four (* over 18 years only) or two couples travelling together .  We also accept a group of single occupancy in all three rooms.  We are sorry but do not take group bookings for six people OR reservations for guests attending weddings/parties.  Please telephone us directly for group booking enquiries and refer to our deposit and cancellation policy before committing to making a reservation.



During the current Covid climate, we do not require a deposit but please see our Cancellation policy for more details.

GROUP/BLOCK BOOKINGS: If booking all three rooms (whole house), 25% of the cost of the total stay is required on reservation. The balance will be taken 28 days prior to arrival from the card details provided on reservation.

Only valid card details on reservation at Post Office House will be accepted.  These details are required in order to secure your reservation. If your card is invalid, we will give you 12 hours to provide us with alternative details, if you do not inform us during this time period, then we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

We do not accept American Express, Diners Club or payments by bank transfer. We no longer take payments by cheque.



We are sure that you will understand as a small, independent bed and breakfast with only three rooms, cancellations can have a large impact on us. It can mean that we lose significant loss of revenue, therefore would appreciate if you could give us as much notice as possible if you do need to cancel.  This would allow us the opportunity to try and resell the room(s). If we do manage to resell any cancelled room(s), we will refund you any rooms resold.

We strongly advise that guests take out appropriate travel insurance when travelling as we cannot be held responsible for cancellations outside these terms and for circumstances outside of our control.

  • Free cancellation – 21 days or more prior to arrival date.

  • Cancellation 14 to 20 days – payment equal to the first nights’ stay.  This will be taken with the card details provided on reservation.

  • Cancellation 7 to 13 days – payment equal to two nights’ stay.  This will be taken with the card details provided on reservation.

  • Any cancellations made less than 7 days or a no-show, then the total cost of the stay will be charged to the card details provided on reservation. If we can resell your room(s) then we will refund you any rooms we have resold, minus an administration/transaction fee of £20.

  • GROUP BOOKINGS FOR ALL THREE ROOMS:  Cancellations made under 28 days will not be refunded but if we are able to resell any rooms, you will be refunded the number of rooms resold to the card made with the original reservation, minus a transaction/administration fee of £20.

  • In the event we are forced to close by Government Legislation due to COVID-19, you will not be liable for any payment for your reservation if it falls wholly or partly due to closure measures brought upon Post Office House Bed and Breakfast.

We can arrange extras in your room if you wish to celebrate a special occasion, such as Champagne or Prosecco, locally handmade chocolates or/and beautiful locally-grown artisan flowers. Whether it is an Anniversary, Mini-Moon, Landmark Birthday or as a surprise gift for a loved one, you can request your choice directly when you make a reservation online, you will find these options in the `extras’ section, along with prices.
