No dogs or pets:  As much as we love our furry four-legged friends, we are unable to accommodate them.

Adult only: Post Office House is the perfect place for unwinding and relaxation, therefore we do not accept persons under 18 years. We are sorry but reservations are not accepted for guests attending weddings, stag, hen or any other large party.

BOOKING

Information

STAY REQUIREMENT: Minimum two-nights (Nov – March);  Minimum three-nights (Apr – Oct);  We only accept a maximum reservation of seven consecutive nights. Two-night stays in High Season may be available, if there is a gap left between bookings. Please call us for availability if your chosen dates do not show up online.

SINGLE NIGHT STAYS: Occasionally available, additional surcharge of £10 per room applies. If your required date does not show up online, please call us.

DIRECT BOOKING: It is always better for you (and us too!) by booking directly.  Reservations made through third-party online travel agencies such as booking dot com could cost more as we have to offset large commissions charged to us.

AVAILABILITY & RESERVATIONS: Please go to Book Now which will then take you to our secure online booking engine.  If you would rather book the old-fashioned way by speaking with us, please telephone 01668 219622. We accept Mastercard, Visa Credit/Debit cards and Cash.

THIRD PARTY RESERVATIONS: If booking through Booking dot com, their terms of business and cancellation policies apply. Please refer to the reservation policy shown on your booking dot com reservation confirmation.  Direct booking terms do not apply to bookings made via an Online Travel Agency.

GROUP BOOKINGS: Maximum group booking up to four people only.  We regret group bookings are no longer accepted for all three rooms taken (six guests in one party) or reservations for groups of guests attending weddings/parties.  Please telephone us directly for group booking enquiries and refer to our cancellation policy before committing to making a reservation.

DEPOSIT

Policy

We do not require a deposit on reservation for two or more nights booked and please refer to our Cancellation policy. Please read through this thoroughly and any questions regarding this, then contact us as soon as possible.

Single-night stays: The total cost of your stay will be taken 14 days prior to your arrival day. If you cancel 14 days and under, the cost of the stay is non-refundable. If we are able to resell your room, we will refund the amount, minus a £10 handling fee.

To secure your reservation, card details provided must be valid at point of stay at Post Office House. We do not accept American Express, Diners Club cards, bank transfer payments or cheques.  We accept cash payments but no payments in £50 notes, please.

CANCELLATION

Policy

We are sure that you will understand as a small independent business, cancellations can have a large impact on us. It can mean that we lose significant loss of revenue, therefore we would appreciate if you could give us as much notice as possible if you do need to cancel.  This would allow us the opportunity to try and resell your room(s). If we do manage to resell any cancelled room(s), we will refund to you any rooms resold, minus a transaction/administration fee of £10.00.

We strongly advise that guests take out appropriate travel insurance when travelling as we cannot be held responsible for cancellations outside these terms and for circumstances outside of our control.

  • Free cancellation – 21 days or more prior to arrival date.

  • Cancellation 14 to 20 days – payment equal to the first nights’ stay.  This will be taken with the card details provided on reservation.

  • Cancellation 7 to 13 days – payment equal to two nights’ stay.  This will be taken with the card details provided on reservation.

  • Any cancellations made less than 7 days or a no-show, then the total cost of the stay will be charged to the card details provided on reservation. If we can resell your room(s) then we will refund you any rooms we have resold, minus an administration/transaction fee of £10.00

  • Single night stays: The total cost of your stay will be taken 14 days prior to your arrival day. If you cancel 14 days and under, the cost of the stay is non-refundable. If we are able to resell your room, we will refund the full amount, minus a £10 handling fee.

  • GROUP BOOKINGS:  We do not take a deposit but the full cost of the stay will be charged to the main guest/booker if your reservation is cancelled under 28 days. If we are able to resell any cancelled rooms, you will be refunded the number of rooms resold to the main guest who made the original reservation, minus a transaction/administration fee of £10.00

Surprise Occasions

We can arrange extras in your room if you wish to celebrate a special occasion such as a gorgeous bouquet of fresh flowers from our local florist, Ginger House Garden. Whether it is an anniversary, Valentine’s Day, Mini-Moon or Honeymoon, landmark birthday or a surprise gift for a loved one, you can request your choice directly when you make a reservation online. You will find these options in the `extras’ section, along with prices. No need for you to do anything, just choose the gift(s) you would like to purchase and we will organise the rest!  If you would rather speak with us about specific requirements, then please call us.
